Smoking is a chronic addiction generated by physical and psychological dependence on snuff, more specifically to nicotine. As a result of this addiction a large number of respiratory and cardiac diseases may appear. The disease caused by the snuff is annually one of the leading causes of death worldwide. This substance is directly related to the appearance of nearly thirty of diseases among which are different types of cancer , bronchitis s and cardiovascular disease . 

The nicotine is the active component of snuff and which is addictive because it acts on the system Central nervous. This substance creates physical and psychological addiction so quitting generate withdrawal symptoms unpleasant physical and psychological. The reasonsfor quitting may be several. They may be aesthetic reasons, such as bad breath and yellowing teeth or even psychological reasons such as lack of independency and self-control. Health reasons may be excessive respiratory diseases or difficulties for sports.Quitting smoking is a process that requires passage through different stages: - When a smoker quits their habit, from the first or second week begins to notice some changes in your body such as improving their ability to exercise .



- After three weeks, you can notice a recovery of the sense of taste and smell . From that moment the person perceives odors and enjoy flavors not previously felt. - One month after abandonment, sensory recovery is evident. - Compliments two months, the subject note the disappearance of cough morning, increasing their physical capacity , respiratory and even sexual. the quitter easily perceive these changes, but there are other, no less important, such as reducing the likelihood of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases . According to some studies a person who quit smoking have that decrease from the first quarter, it will be evident in the first year and set equal to that of someone who had never smoked, the fifth year of neglect.
