Appetite Rises? Probably due to Lack of Sleep




Turns sleeping patterns also affect a person's diet.Research shows that people who sleep less at night, the next day will overeat.
It happened due to lack of sleep is proven to stimulate the production of the hormone ghrelin. Ghrelin is a hormone which give hunger signals to the brain and increase appetite.
Meanwhile, if someone enough sleep, it will be fewer calories eaten on the next day. "Our key finding shows, the quality of Diet is influenced by the quality of sleep," said professor Marie-Pierre St-Onge, from Columbia University, New York.
The study reinforces the finding that people who sleep less would be more at risk of gaining weight and becoming obese.

Researchers found that people who consume high-fat meal took 29 minutes to fall asleep, while the consumption of nutritious food took 17 minutes to fall asleep.
"A diet affects sleep quality and provide exceptional health implications," said Professor St-Onge.
According to researchers, the poor quality of sleep and eat, can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes.
Doctor Nathaniel Watson of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine assessing this study emphasizes the importance of maintaining the quality of sleep and eat a healthy lifestyle.
"For optimal health, it is important choose a healthy lifestyle with healthy sleep, eating nutritious foods, and exercise regularly," said Watson.
