Thursday (21/01/2016). Harry explained, antibiotic resistance may be caused by non-compliance of patients using antibiotics. Moreover, also because of the habit of taking antibiotics when sick and excessive use.Harry lamented, people can easily buy antibiotics in pharmacies, stall, or kiosk. In fact, antibiotics may not be sold free and can only be given by a doctor's prescription. In fact, a number of communities in Indonesia known to store a backup antibiotics at home. The threat of antibiotic resistance makes health professionals and the public should be wise and rational use of antibiotics. Harry revealed that antibiotic resistance can cause death because antibiotics are no longer able to kill germs or bacteria that cause disease. Antibiotic resistance has become a serious problem that is discussed throughout the world. In 2050, an estimated 10 million deaths each year due to antimicrobial resistance, including 4.6 million deaths in Asia. In Thailand, the death rate due to antibiotic resistance reaches 38,000 people per year and in Indonesia an estimated 135,000 people die annually due to antibiotic resistance.
